Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

Lewah is intended for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent where required by law. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features. You agree to:

Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
Keep your login credentials confidential
Notify us immediately at support@lewah.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Lewah solely for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree not to:

Copy, redistribute, or resell any content from the App (past papers, solutions, flashcard decks, or other materials) without our express written permission
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its infrastructure
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract content from the App
Upload, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes any third-party rights
Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
Misuse the Study Hub or any collaborative feature to harass, bully, or harm other users

4. Content and Intellectual Property

Our content. All content available on Lewah — including past question papers, solutions, quiz questions, AI-generated responses, and branding — is either owned by us or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use content for personal study only.

Past examination papers. Past exam papers made available through Lewah are sourced from publicly accessible examinations. Where copyright remains with an examining body, papers are reproduced for educational reference purposes. If you represent an examining body and have a concern, contact us at support@lewah.app.

User-generated content. Content you create within Lewah (flashcard decks, Study Hub messages, profile information) remains yours. By creating and sharing content (e.g., making a flashcard deck public), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the App. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any law or third-party rights.

5. AI Features

Lewah includes AI-powered features ("Ask AI", AI flashcard generation). By using these features, you acknowledge:

AI responses are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies. They are provided for study assistance only and should not be treated as definitive academic authority.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.
3.
You must not use AI features to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or violates any law.
4.
AI feature usage may be subject to credit limits depending on your subscription plan.

6. Payments, Credits, and Subscriptions

Payment processing. Payments on Lewah are processed via Fapshi, a third-party payment processor. By initiating a payment, you also agree to Fapshi's terms and privacy policy. We do not store your mobile money credentials.

Accepted payment methods. MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, and your Lewah Wallet balance.

Subscription plans. Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

Solution unlocks. Purchases of individual solutions (content unlocks) are non-refundable once the solution content has been accessed.

Lewah Wallet. Credits added to your wallet are non-transferable between accounts and have no cash value. We reserve the right to expire wallet credits that have been inactive for 24 months. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable once processed.

Failed or disputed payments. If a payment fails to process correctly, contact us at support@lewah.app. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.

7. Study Hubs — Community Guidelines

Study Hubs are collaborative spaces. When participating, you agree not to:

Share exam answers, papers, or copyrighted material in a way that facilitates academic dishonesty
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
Spam or flood conversations with irrelevant messages
Share personal contact details of other users without their consent

We reserve the right to remove content and ban users who violate these guidelines.

8. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the App available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

Temporarily suspend the App for maintenance with or without prior notice
Change, add, or remove features at any time
Update these Terms at any time — continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
Content (including AI responses and solutions) will be accurate or complete
The App will meet your specific study or academic requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of academic opportunity, or financial loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends immediately. Unused wallet credits and unexpired subscriptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for refund eligibility.

You may delete your account at any time from the profile settings within the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Douala or Yaoundé.
